Our collaboration continues even after the completion of the online store. You don't have to purchase a separate maintenance package, but I still recommend it.

Good to know

Here you will find answers to most questions that arise when ordering and designing a webhop.

Yes and no. I can provide a more detailed answer once I have reviewed your existing website. In most cases, adding an online store does not cause any major issues, but sometimes the theme, plugins, or custom code used on the site may not be compatible with WooCommerce. In that case, we need to consider whether it makes sense to start the entire site from scratch or to work through the conflicts.

You can use an online store for selling a wide range of products and services.

I have built online stores for these product categories:

  • Physical, shippable products
  • Downloadable products (e-books, guides, sewing patterns)
  • Online courses
  • Travel bookings
  • Gift cards
  • Appointment scheduling
  • Wholesale for business customers alongside retail sales

You can automate the sales process and securely receive payments through e-commerce software.

I always recommend using a professional for acquiring especially photographs. Stock photo libraries are also a good option, but avoid using the same images as “everyone else.” You can certainly use product images provided by manufacturers or importers.

For texts, you can get help from me, and we can also utilize artificial intelligence. Especially for product descriptions, it’s advisable to write slightly different text than what other online stores selling the same product have, to avoid search engines penalizing for duplicate content.

The price of an online store is always affected by what kind of functions you want to add to the store. Various special functions, memberships, online courses or recurring payments affect the price by the amount of license fees and the working time required to make the settings.

The pricing takes into account e.g. discussions with the customer regarding the content and appearance of the online store, creating the structure of the online store and planning the purchase path, as well as search functions.

The starting price for the online store installation alone is 1.290 €
With the starting price, you get the WooCommerce online store installed on an existing site, the editing of the webshop’s page bases with the basic settings of the theme, the installation of a payment broker and the setting of shipping costs max. 3 price levels.

New website + online store starting at 2.680 €

On average, it costs around 2.800 – 3.400 € to build a new online store.

All prices displayed VAT 0 % on the website.

It takes approx. 10-12 working hours to set up the basic online store. On top of this comes the work time needed to set up possible special functions, edit page templates and user instructions. If necessary, the finished product can be obtained quickly, but it requires you to be active in entering product information and with various contracts.

On average, the online store is completed in about 2 months.

  • Web hosting
Usually an annual fee, but in some cases, billing may also be done on a monthly basis. I always recommend Zoner’s services to my clients. You can explore packages and pricing through this partnership link.
  • Plugin license fees
Sometimes, building a website requires using plugins that have license fees. The first-year license fee is included in the website’s proposal price and is valid for one year from the start of construction. In the future, you will receive an invoice from Sivutaikuri annually for the license fee.

Common premium plugins I use for websites include:

  • Maintenance

An outdated or un-updated plugin is the most common reason hackers breach a WordPress site. Updates fix known security vulnerabilities, making it crucial to regularly update all WordPress components.

Service providers often include automatic version updates, but we can also arrange a maintenance agreement for updates and monitoring upon request. The agreement includes WordPress, theme, and plugin version updates 2-4 times a month, along with fixing any error situations caused by updates.

Sivutaikuri ensures that all requirements mandated by laws and regulations are met during the website’s publishing phase. After publication, the website owner is responsible for the content they publish and its accuracy.

All websites I create are:

  • Mobile-optimized
  • Designed with the target audience in mind
  • Search engine discoverable
  • User-friendly
  • Accessible
  • Compliant with cookie settings
