The site is built very simply, leveraging WordPress’s original concept as a blogging platform. The main focus is on articles written by Mirkka, which are categorized under four different headings. I was given a lot of creative freedom in the design, and I also created the site’s logo. We met with Mirkka for an initial meeting, and by our next meeting, I had a nearly complete draft ready. After a few final tweaks, the blog was ready to welcome visitors.
This site has become one of the most visited among the sites I’ve created, presenting new challenges in selecting a web hosting service. With Zoner’s assistance, the package size was increased several times as the site threatened to crash due to insufficient bandwidth. Mirkka’s articles, which track the progress of a mold house lawsuit and the related discussions, have consistently attracted a large number of readers. The commitment of her followers is evident, as when Mirkka was ordered to pay compensation in court, her followers raised a significant amount through small fundraising efforts.
Thanks to the blog, Mirkka secured a publishing contract, and her debut book, “Rakas katastrofini” (My Dear Catastrophe), was published in spring 2023.
